WILD WOLF FORGE FAQ

What is my product made of?
Unless otherwise noted, your Weapon / Armour is produced of carbon steel.
Do I need to worry about Rust?
If your product is not made of Stainless Steel, IT WILL RUST. Care must be taken to prevent rusting. The best way to protect against rust is to maintain a light coating of machine oil on the article at all times. Fingerprints and other skin contact can etch steel indelibly because of the oils and acids in human skin, so always wipe the item clean and re-oil it after use or handling.
Can I store my product in it's scabbard?
DO NOT store carbon steel blades in a leather scabbard! Most scabbards are made of commercially tanned leather that has a high quantity of tannic acid in it. This acid will corrode a carbon steel blade rapidly and usually does permanent damage to the polish.
What about my oriental blade?
The scabbard (saya) of a Japanese blade is made of wood, and is intended for long-term storage of the blade. Inside the scabbard (saya) is the safest place for an oriental sword to be.
My blade is Stainless Steel, what about it?
Stainless steel blades are just that, stain LESS. They are NOT "will never rust". Most of our custom pieces, be they stainless or carbon, are provided with oil-tanned sheaths and scabbards that are far less likely to corrode the steel, but I still recommend you do not store any blade in a leather scabbard long-term.
Are these REAL weapons?
Your Weapon / Armour is NOT A TOY. These items are historically accurate reproductions of combat arms and armour. They are sharp and pointy and can hurt you!! Always follow this safety precaution: BE CAREFUL!!!
What if I do something stupid or get hurt?
Wild Wolf Forge is in no way responsible for injuries or damage caused by the use or misuse of these items.

How do I get my product?
  1. I check orders Thursday around 5:00 AM Central Time; When payment has been received (usually immediately, but there may be a 2-3 day delay if processing a check) I process the order.
    • If your order is for a custom item I will fulfill it immediately. On rare occasions you may order an item that has already been sold; if this happens I will apologize and cheerfully refund your money. I will not guarantee that any custom item will be there; it's strictly first come, first served.
    • If your order is for one of my limited edition items, I will fulfill it right away. In the event that I am out of stock on a limited edition item I will fill the order as soon as I receive a shipment from the foundry. While I don't anticipate any problems keeping these items on hand you never know what may happen. Right now the foundry is running on about a 4 day turnaround, which is pretty good.
    • If your order is for one of the production items I sell, I will add the items to my weekly order list. I will place an order for the list every Friday, and the turnaround time is usually 3-4 days. Be aware that the production pieces are being delivered to my supplier from Europe and Asia, so there will be inevitable delays on occasion. I am not responsible for backorder situations from my suppliers; I will ship your order as soon as I get it.
    • All Limited Edition and Production items come to me first; I personally inspect every product that goes out my door. On rare occasions I may have to send an item back for replacement, but I want you to have the highest quality I can give. For this reason I will not drop ship items.
  2. I ship all orders UPS Ground or US Mail. Shipments are currently going out every Thursday, but I may ship earlier if possible. Please allow two-three weeks for delivery. If I know an item is delayed or backordered I will make all reasonable efforts to alert you of the situation and the status of your order.
